Fresh cuisine from the Berlin-Brandenburg region, prepared with local products to the highest level of excellence - this is the trademark of our chef de cuisine Wolfgang Kanow. After working as a sous-chef together with star chef Rolf Schmidt, the charming Berlin-born has been leading the ALvis kitchen team since 2002.
Not only Berlin folks appreciate the creative and healthy cuisine of Restaurant ALvis which will give anyone the ultimate sensation of taste. Come and indulge in home baked bread, homemade pasta, outdoor vegetables, fresh meat and poultry products and selected wines from Germany, France and Italy.
Restaurant ALvis has more to offer than a common hotel restaurant: Its interior is furnished with elegant chairs and tables and herringbone parquet floors reinforce the impression of classy European style. Its wonderfully idyllig courtyard garden with ivy-clad walls allows its guests to relax and calm down while being right in the middle of a busy city that is Berlin.
Especially in summer, it is nice to eat fresh regional cuisine outside. Have a look at the ALvis menu with special seasonal dishes either prepared traditionally or, at times, spiced up with foreign flavor.
Throughout the whole year, there are special food events which are presented in the Culinary Calendar. For instance, each year in September, Restaurant ALvis is celebrating its anniversary with a special charity dinner, the so-called 'Benefit Kitchen Party' where people can spend a wonderful evening with delicious food and excellent dirnks and wines - all for a good cause: The revenues of the evening are donated to a social project chosen prior to the event.
